Leaders in Transition - An evidence based framework as insurance for the success of newly appointed leaders
The Leadership in Transition framework is used for coaching individuals or groups of leaders who are taking up new positions. These may be new or experienced leaders because the risks of transition are independent of the level of experience of the leader. These identifiable risks can bring down a top CEO as easily as a first time leader.
Using the research and experience based Leadership Action Circle, newly appointed leaders can systematically assess the level of risk they are dealing with and the actions they are taking to manage them. They are able to focus on options to maximise the opportunities available to them in their new role.
Typically, we use an inventory process to step through the circle. This can be a stand alone activity or as part of a broader developmental exercise.
