The project is being led by the Quality and Safety Project Team. The members of this team are drawn from across ACME Corporation and are supported by external specialists. The team is being led by our CFO, Mr. Phil Coffers, who has significant experience of project mangement and is familiar with our entire organisation. He is supported by our newly appointed Director of Risk, Ms. Maxie Panique. Max comes to us from Armageddon Enterprises.

A representative from every team that is directly affected is included in the Project Reference Group. You can approach the person from your team at any time for updates and to contribute feedback and ideas to the project. People from other teams can also contact project team members or use the communication options on this site.

The goals of the project are to:

1. Establish new standards and procedures for designing safety and reliability into all products.
   
2. Identify and procure the resources needed to implement and operate these procedures.
   
3. Establish a new Quality Assurrance and Safety Support Team to help design and production teams meet the new standards and procedures.
   
4. Implement processes to gather and analyse data about safety, reliability and customer experience.
   
5. Ensure employees have the skills and ability to take on the additional responsibilities.
   

During the project there will be lots of change as options are developed and implemented. People in design and production roles will have new tasks and responsibilities by the end of the project. To help people along we will invest heavily in communication so people can keep up to date and know what to do when.

If the information you are looking for is not here, talk to your supervisor or your team representative on the project team. As issues are raised with them the project team will address them. Answers will come back to you through your supervisor and/or will be added to the new or frequently asked questions pages on this site.

The project is scheduled for completion by December 16 this year. Since ACME Corporation employees are such classical music buffs we thought Beethoven's birthday was a suitable date. It also means we can launch a significant marketing push in the lead up to the boxing day sales.

The key milestones for the project are:

• July 1 - Sign off of the project plan.
• August 15 - Completion of consultation for new standards.
• August 30 - Standards signed off. Finalisation of proceedures.
• September 22 - Procedures signed off. Trial implementation of procedures.
• October 30 - Review of trial.
• November 11 - Implement recommendations from review.
• December 9 - Confirmation new processes are operational.
• December 16 - End of project and responsibility taken up by operational teams.
