Frequently Asked Questions

What are quality standards?

Answered: 11 July

The quality standards are standards used across industry and to be selected for our organisation to help us:

  1. Commit to delivering quality products to our customers.
  2. Provide reliable systems to achieve this.
  3. Set expectations for the quality of materials from our suppliers.
  4. Identify competency levels required for tasks in our organisation.
  5. Set principles for gathering, analysing and using data to improve our performance.

What is the consultation process about?

Answered: 3 July

The consultation is an opportunity for staff to add their bit to the process. Obviously we don't intend to redo the technical work from the ground up. That would defeat the purspose of pulling together the technical expertise we have to develop the model.  What we do from here is look at:
  1. What details need to be resolved to finalise the model?
  2. What improvements  are needed in other areas of the organisation if we are to get the best from the model?
  3. What do teams have to address to get ready for implementing the model?

When will we know what our new business processes are?

Answered: 20 June

At this stage the project team is finalising its research into viable models. This includes looking at practices in other organisations and industry standards. The team will select a model that matches our organisation and fits with our existing strengths. This will go to the Senior Executive Group for sign-off on July 1. After that time we will be able to start presenting the model to staff.
